Great Lakes Surfing. It's no joke, and it's not for warm water
wimps. First, "Great lakes" is a misnomer. These huge bodies of
water are inland seas. Second, the waves can be big and every
bit as perfect as their salt water equivalent. The mechanics of
wave formation are the difference. Lake waves are storm and
wind driven...and third, Wisconsin's own Tom Blake(click) is
the father and inventor of all things Surf.
The Dairyland Classic in Sheboygan,Wisconsin is the
worlds largest lake surfing competition. Is the woman in the
photo from Australia?
And where is her wet suit? It's cold out there. And why is
Corona sponsoring this thing?I want an explanation from
Capital,Leinenkugels,Point, Huber,Miller, Pabst
(I know it's fake, but I'm willing to play along),Slab City
and all the rest of you.
You know who you are!!!!
This is the second, that's right, the second post I've written
about surfing and Wisconsin.

Worth noting as well is where the Chicken Joe character in last summer's animated mockumentary Surf's Up is originally from Sheboygan
