Barbie, the most popular doll in the history of the world, is Barbara Millicent Roberts. In a series of novels published by Random House in the 1960s, Barbie is described as hailing from the fictional town of Willows, Wisconsin. Furthermore, "Willows" is modeled after Sheboygan. So.....Barbie is a Wisconsin girl. I don't know if that's good or bad. Dr. Mike just called, he's raving about the qualities of Stella Artois, an excellent lager from Belgium (You all know from a recent post that Wisconsin is the home of the largest Belgian settlement in the US). You have to love his attitude, It's 11 a.m. and Dr. Mike has found a friendly barstool, a copy of the Wall Street Journal and, I'm almost positive, a Phillip K. Dick paperback - his standard afternoon read. I wonder what Barbie drinks??

if she's a Wisconsin girl and it's summertime (note: swimsuit) I'm thinking it's a gin rickey that Barbie's drinking.
